Top 5 Sleeping Masks From Soko Glam

Soko Glam Masks

We all want radiant, luminous, and healthy glowing skin. Aside from eating right, exercising, and stressing less, what we put on our skin matters. Not only is it important to protect our skin from harmful UV rays during the day, but it’s equally important to care for the skin overnight as well. Thanks to Soko Glam for providing me with all of these goodies, I got the chance to test five great sleeping masks along with a couple of Vitamin C serums which I will talk about at the end.

Soko Glam Anti Wrinkle Mask

1. GOODAL Anti-Wrinkle Sleep Cream Pack

  • Price: $32
  • Texture: Sticky, glue-like
  • Target: Dry, aging skin
  • Positives: Fermented argan and lavender oil, paraben-free
  • Skin-Type: All skin-types, especially dry skin
  • Result: The texture of this cream pack made me a little nervous to apply to the skin because it looks and feels kind of sticky. However, once I started to massage it into my skin, the product melted and applied smoothly and felt velvety on my face. I battle with combination skin and the weather here in Michigan can get really dry, especially in the winter. I had patches of dry flaky skin on my cheeks and this product improved those areas in just 2-3 uses overnight. This is definitely a great mask if you generally have dry skin or if you have specific areas you want to deeply moisturize. Just as it’s mentioned on Soko Glam, this is perfect for those dry and cold winter months.

2. LIOELE V-Line Sleeping Pack

  • Price: $16
  • Texture: Watery
  • Target: Bloated skin, dull and dehydrated skin
  • Positives: Oil-free
  • Skin-Type: Dull skin, oily skin
  • Result: This is probably one of the most unique textures in a mask that I’ve tried. When you start massaging it into the skin, it creates little water droplets and they disappear as you continue to rub the product in. I’m not the biggest fan of this product because of the strong scent (smelled like laundry detergent to me) and I noticed it contains two parabens in the ingredients. I generally look to use products with no parabens. However, if neither of those things bother you, this is great for the summer since it’s light and not heavily moisturizing. It’s great if you have oily skin and don’t need to add extra moisture to your skin.

3. MISSHA Super Aqua Cell Renew Snail Sleeping Mask

  • Price: $23
  • Texture: Thick and creamy
  • Target: Dry, aging skin
  • Positives: Snail extract, paraben-free
  • Skin-Type: Dry, sensitive, acne-prone
  • Result: I’ve heard of products with snail extract for quite some time and I never bothered to look into it because the thought of it grossed me out. Even my younger sister has been encouraging me to get into products that contain snail extract because it’s good for the skin especially if you’re trying to care for it while you’re young. We have to keep in mind, products that target aging skin are not only for older people, but caring for the skin while you’re young will greatly affect how it looks as you age. I was nervous to try this product, but I’m so glad I did! It comes out thick and creamy, but once you massage it in, it’s actually quite lightly hydrating and moisturizing at the same time. This product would be great for any season, all year round. Not only does it feel silky smooth when applying it, you also wake up with super smooth and well hydrated skin.

Soko Glam Birch Juice Mask

4. ENATURE Birch Juice Hydro Sleeping Pack

  • Price: $28
  • Texture: Watery
  • Target: Dry skin
  • Positives: Birch tree sap, paraben-free, no mineral oils, and artificial fragrances
  • Skin-Type: All skin types, especially dry and sensitive skin
  • Result: As noted on Soko Glam’s site, this product contains “74% birch tree sap, chamomile, and plantain seed extracts to transform your complexion while you sleep.” It has a light citrus scent that isn’t overly powering and I love to use this during the day too, even though it’s called a sleeping pack. I played around with this sleeping pack because I loved how much it gave my skin a luminous glow. Turns out it works great with make up on top and gives a lasting glow all day. Additionally, it’s perfect for those who struggle with sensitive skin and pairs well with either of the vitamin C serums below.

Soko Glam Klairs Vitamin E Mask

5. KLAIRS Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask

  • Price: $27
  • Texture: Gelatin-like
  • Target: Dry, aging skin
  • Positives: Vitamin E, paraben-free
  • Skin-Type: All skin-types
  • Result: This product has a gelatin-like texture and feels exceptionally hydrating when applied to the skin. The mask pairs great with the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin C serum, or the Triple C Lightning Liquid for a higher concentration of Vitamin C. As stated on Soko Glam, “vitamin E stabilizes the vitamin C ingredient and helps your vitamin C product work better,” so you gain extra effectiveness in glowing, radiant skin. Sometimes I like to apply a thin layer of this mask with the vitamin C serum under my make up, just like the Birch Juice Sleeping Pack. I’ve also gotten several compliments on my skin when using this method. I love how it has been improving the texture of my skin and it always feels great when others can notice the positive changes too!

KLAIRS Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Serum

  • Price: $23
  • Texture: Oily
  • Target: Brown spots, acne scarring, brightens and evens out the skin tone, minimizes fine lines
  • Positives: Fragrance-free, 5% Vitamin C (ascorbic acid), pH level of 3.81, paraben-free
  • Skin-Type: All skin types (especially great for sensitive skin)
  • Result: This serum has been lightening some discoloration from my acne scars and overall gives a healthy glow to my skin, even under make up. The serum feels a little oily, but it doesn’t affect how my make up applies on top of it. It has no fragrance as mentioned and it doesn’t sting the skin, so this is great for sensitive skin-types. I love to use this in the mornings before applying my make up and it’s especially great paired with the KLAIRS Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask as mentioned above.

COSRX Triple C Lightning Liquid

  • Price: $27
  • Texture: Liquid
  • Target: Hyper pigmentation from sun spots, acne scarring, melasma, great for dull skin that need a wake up call
  • Positives: 20.5% pure vitamin C (ascorbic acid), 72% black chokeberry, pH level of 3, paraben-free
  • Skin-Type: All skin types
  • Result: In comparison with the Klairs serum, this one tingles my skin because it has a higher concentration of vitamin C. I read that it’s completely normal to feel this sensation, so no worries if you experience this too! If it’s too much for you, you can mix it with your moisturizer so it’s not as potent, which I like to do sometimes. I personally think this is great for my night time routine because it has a high concentration of vitamin C, which means your skin will be extra sensitive to the UV rays from the sun. It’s always important to use SPF regardless of what you put on your skin, but I like to use this at night and the Klairs one during the day since the Klairs serum feels a little lighter. However, you can choose to speed up the effectiveness by using the COSRX serum in the morning and night. I already see slight improvements using both the Klairs and COSRX vitamin C serums and it’s only been a month. I’m looking forward to seeing the long term results!

One of my main concerns was how my skin would take in all of these products because my skin can react negatively to almost anything. However, I haven’t noticed any negative effects from any of the products and I made sure to give each product more than a few tries before I could write about them.

Overall, my skin has never felt smoother, hydrated, supple, and this radiant in so long! It’s hard to say which mask was the most effective since I’ve been testing all of these products out over the past couple of months. I definitely have my favorites and will use them according to my skin’s needs and the weather. Additionally, I can confidently say that I woke up each morning with softer skin and I couldn’t be happier about the visible effectiveness of all of the sleeping masks. You can check out many more skincare products at the Soko Glam‘s site and read more about their great tips and tricks for healthy skin on The Klog.
