1. What do you do?

I run my own unique jewelry brand, Can’tell Jewelry.

2. What have you been working on recently?

Can’tell Jewelry is a trendy fashion jewelry brand.  Our collections are based on expressing one’s personal identity, such that each individual piece is a statement of one’s unique personality.  We cooperated with one of the most popular constellation IP in China right now, and we designed several collections about signs.  You can see how it’s different and special compared with others.  One of these collections even got invited to VIP by the most popular lady online shopping website to do the crowdfunding.  And it will be launching on the 18th of this month, and will last for 15 days.

3. What does style mean to you?

Style is a language to help me express myself easily and with confidence.

4. How do you define your personal style?

Casual Formal Sexy.  (I know it sounds a bit strange, but u will see~LOL)

5. Has your personal style ever evolved ?

I like to try different styles on myself.  So I will say it changes little by little all the time.

I went through the Gothic, Academy, Lolita chic and Official Lady look, and now I kinda mix them up for different occasions.  And every kind of shirt became part of my style since I started my jewelry business.

6. What is your style most inspired by?

I’m mostly inspired by the lifestyle of the places that I travel to. I love traveling and I’m always excited about how amazing different cultures are.  I will dress according to the feelings that the places give to me.  For example, Italy, one of my favorite place on earth, has inspired me to dress positively, casual and sexy.

7. How many countries have you lived in?

I’ve lived in London for 5 years, then Beijing, New York, and now in Shanghai.

8. How many countries have you visited?

I’m trying to make it 10 this year.

9. How do London and NYC influence your personal style respectively?

London is the place where I have spent 5 years and it has influenced me since.  Tim Walker, John Galliano, Vivienne Westwood, Alexander Macqueen are mentors for me in the fashion world.  They remind me that fashion is always about expressing who you are, whether you’re into the classic look and also a bit weird.  Then you can dress like that and make it cool. NYC is a city full of dreams and passion.  It’s different with London, but I also love it so much. NYC’s style for me is sharp –  you dress the way that gives you more power, and dress like the person you wanna be.

10. How has China influenced your personal style?

China has an infinite number of amazing cultural elements that I like to mix a bit to my style. A little bit of this Chinese or Oriental elements will totally upgrade your style to a higher level. Jade earrings, Jasper butterfly brooches, and peony hand stitch handbags can easily mix and match with your suits and jackets, which will freshen up your look.

11. When you’re not designing jewlery, what do you like to do?

I’m a huge fan of suspense films such as Hitchcock and always feel that detectives are so cool.  I would love to be part of these kinds of projects.
