A Long Weekend Trip to Rotterdam with Norwegian Air

In collaboration with Norwegian Air

The lights were turned on, and I was awakened in my comfortable recliner seat with the extra space up to 140 centimeters. The captain informed us that we were approaching our destination, and we needed to get ready for landing. The 8 hour trip from NYC to Amsterdam felt so short and easy with Norwegian air. Before I boarded with my fellow influencer friends, our premium cabin tickets granted us a fast track to go through check-in and security. Premium cabin took care of us with Premium dinner, blanket and headset.

Soon after we landed in Amsterdam, we got to Rotterdam after a 30-minute train ride directly from Amsterdam airport. A good nap was needed before our dinner, but I didn’t feel too jet lagged. That’s because Norwegian Air has fresh air and optimal cabin pressure, resulting in less jet lag. Also, Norwegian Air has 65% larger windows than in comparable planes and smart mood lighting.

Many of my friends asked me for a travel guide to Rotterdam on Instagram after seeing my posts, and I promise you that I will put together a gift for you to use. So I can promise you that this is a golden itinerary provided by the Rotterdam Partners partnered with Norwegian Air. This is the best of the best for you to see, do, eat and have fun!

Rotterdam is a very diverse city, and the variety and diversity shows in their culture and cuisines.

Where To STAY

Mainport Rotterdam – 5 star
If you are familiar with me, you know that I only stay with 5-star hotels. If the hotel doesn’t make me feel comfortable, I literally can’t sleep or eat. I am very pleased with the Mainport hotel as it’s very luxurious, and everything feels so new. It has a great location, which is the city center in Rotterdam. Each morning, we were fed at their buffet at their restaurant, delicious and healthy. Each evening, I took a very nice bath before I went to sleep. Also, Mainport has a very distinguished personality as displayed from its interior designs and decorations.

Where To EAT

Ballroom for Dinner

I’m fond of Gin & Tonic, so Ballroom is perfect for me as it has 160 Gins from 14 countries. If you are also a Gin & Tonic fan, you have to dine at Ballroom.

Heroine for Lunch

I like tasting menus at elegant places, so Heroine is what you can expect if you also like fine dining. Heroine also has a very casual and stylish vibe. Food is just art at Heroine, and I also enjoyed the high-level services.

Ayla for Dinner

Great food with an adventurous menu, such as pig necks. A great place for a group dinner with tasting food and electic cultures and styles.

Op Het Dak for Lunch

Love this urban farm rooftop so much. The food is simple, clean and local! Great for brunch and Instagram!

De Matroons en het Meisje for Dinner

Another great place for fine dining with tasting menu. Highly recommended to try the menu du chef if you like to be surprised!

What To Do

The Cube Houses

One of the most famous architectures in Rotterdam.

Markthal

The biggest indoor market in the Netherlands with the largest artwork inside of the arch in the Netherlands.

Dutch Pinball Museum

Get ready to play! There are 75 active pinball machines you can play. It was simply fun to play as a young adult while recalling childhood memories. Haha!

Rooftop Tour

Please do a rooftop tour, and you will be amazed by how much you can see and discover Rotterdam from different angles.

Kunsthal Museum – Thierry Mugler Counturissime

Simply stunning! Also liked other exhibits at the museum.

The nightlife of the Witte de Withstraat

This street is the nightlife street filled with pubs and bars. A great way to hang out with the local young and trendy crowds.

Hope you will enjoy Rotterdam and Norwegian Air as much as I did soon.

Also, so many have asked me how to collaborate with luxury hotels, so please click here for a gift for you 😉
